| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is executed in blue and green intaglio, centred on a large arabesque guilloche medallion with the numeral 50 at its heart, surrounded by the legend PIASTRES SYRIENNES. Two elaborate arched architectural vignettes in Islamic decorative style flank the central medallion, with geometric rosette panels and ornate scrollwork filling the remaining space. The Arabic inscription of the issuer appears at the top, and the printer's imprint is visible at the lower centre margin. |
