Issuing title and event text in Gothic Fraktur script occupy the upper panel, with a two-line redemption notice and the issuer's name in Gothic script in the lower panel, the printer's imprint running below the border rule. |

The denomination "50 Pfg." appears in bold red at upper left and upper right. A two-line verse in Gothic script runs across the upper panel above the vignette, and a descriptive caption identifying the Holstentor and the Löwenbank is printed below. |
