| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on buff-toned paper and carries a panoramic vignette of Bolkenhain in Silesia, with the hilltop castle ruins dominating the upper right and the town's church spires and rooftops spread across the middle ground. Flanking the central landscape are two full-length standing figures rendered in a woodcut style — a male saint or civic figure at left and a robed female figure at right — each set upon pedestals within vertical border panels.
