| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on buff-toned paper and carries a panoramic vignette of Bolkenhain in Silesia, with the hilltop castle ruins dominating the upper right and the town's church spires and rooftops spread across the middle ground. Flanking the central landscape are two full-length standing figures rendered in a woodcut style — a male saint or civic figure at left and a robed female figure at right — each set upon pedestals within vertical border panels. Below the vignette, the denomination text reads 'fünfzig Pfennig' alongside the town arms, with an inscription stating the note is payable against this cheque from the holder's savings account with the Verein für Heimatpflege, and the printer's imprint 'FLEMMING-WISKOTT-A.-G. GLOGAU' appears at the foot. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in dark brown on buff-toned paper and presents a woodcut-style street scene of a snow-covered Bolkenhain town street in winter, with figures in period dress in the foreground, gabled half-timbered buildings lining the lane, and a church spire visible in the background. The central vignette is enclosed by ornate side borders of stylised fir branches interspersed with six-pointed stars, and heart-shaped cartouches bearing the numeral '50' appear in the lower corners. A four-line German verse in Fraktur script below the scene reads: 'Wenn die Flocken Dich umschleiern / und die heilige Weihnacht kam, / liegt ein Träumen und ein Feiern / Städtlein, auf Dir wundersam,' with the design registration mark 'D.R.G.M. 795 679' at the lower right. |
