| 备注 |
Lütjenburg is a small Holstein town with a population that barely cracked 2,000 in the early 1920s, which makes this Notgeld issue from its savings and loan institution a distinctly local affair. The German inflation crisis of 1921–1923 forced thousands of municipal bodies and private institutions to print emergency small-denomination notes as federal coinage disappeared from circulation almost overnight — hoarded, melted, or simply outpaced by rising prices.
Ad. Eßich & Co. of Oldenburg handled a considerable volume of regional Notgeld work during this period, supplying dozens of small issuers across northern Germany.
