| Obverse description | Plain zinc field framed by a continuous outer ring of raised beads. The circular legend HAMBURGER EXPLOSIVSTOFFWERKE reads along the upper periphery and WERKE continues to the lower right, all in raised Latin capitals. The issuing location QUICKBORN is inscribed horizontally across the centre of the field beneath a small decorative foliate ornament with flanking scrolled brackets. The large numeral 50, denoting the denomination, occupies the lower half of the field in bold relief. Two small five-pointed stars flank the base of the design at the inner border. |
