The upper register bears the Gothic-script title 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in a framed band. The left half of the main field carries the issuing text in Gothic script identifying this as Notgeld of the Stadt Pförten N.-L., accompanied by a four-line verse; to the right is a line-engraved vignette of a half-timbered town building with a church steeple behind it. The lower register shows the serial number prefixed 'Nr.' at left, and to the right the place-date 'Pförten, den 15. Septbr. 1921' with the manuscript signature of Der Magistrat. |

The upper title band carries 'Stadt Pförten N.-L.' in Gothic lettering. The central field is divided between a heraldic shield vignette at left — a rearing horse above three stars with crossed arrows — and a line-engraved view of a monumental arched town gate with flanking walls at right. A lower text panel states the redemption condition referencing the Forster Tageblatt; the engraver's signature 'Holtz' appears at the lower right margin. |
