| Obverse description | Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a continuous pearl border following the shaped edge. A beaded inner circle encloses the large numeral '50' in bold relief at centre, serving as the denomination. The circular legend surrounding the beaded ring reads 'GROHMANN & FROSCH' at the top and 'LEIPZIG-PLAGWITZ' at the bottom, separated by small five-pointed stars at each side. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, characteristic of WWI-era German emergency small-change tokens. |
