| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a panoramic townscape vignette of Freren set within an arched frame, showing two prominent church spires rising above a row of low-pitched rooftops, fields in the foreground, and billowing clouds above; the place name 'Freren' is inscribed above the vignette. The denomination '50 Pfennig 50' is rendered in large decorative Gothic numerals and lettering with pink underprint across the top border. A text panel at the foot carries a regional Low German saying in Gothic script. |

Freren is a small town in Lower Saxony, and the Sparkasse des vorm. Amts Freren — the savings bank of the former administrative district — was one of thousands of German municipal and institutional issuers that printed emergency Kleingeld during the inflationary chaos of the early Weimar years. The "vorm. Amts" phrasing reflects the administrative reorganization that had dissolved the old Amt structure, leaving the savings bank as a surviving legal entity issuing in its own name.
Gebr. Teisman was a local Freren printer, not a specialist banknote house — which accounts for the modest production quality typical of hyperlocal Notgeld from this period.
