| Beschrijving voorzijde | Issued for the First North German City Bowling Competition held from 9 to 17 October 1921, the note presents a central vignette within a decorative diamond-shaped border framed by dotted stippling, enclosing a full-length figure of a sportsman in white attire holding a bowling ball, standing before a rendered bowling lane with the Wismar municipal coat of arms at the base. Denomination numerals '50' appear in red in the upper corners, with 'Pfg' in red at the lower corners, and vertical cartouches to either side carry Gothic-script inscriptions. The lower center panel bears the title 'Der Sportskegler' in Gothic lettering, with the border ornamented by red geometric devices and circular motifs in an Art Nouveau-influenced letterpress style. |

| Opmerkingen |
Wismar's 1921 notgeld series is among the more deliberately collectible issues from the post-WWI emergency currency wave — the city, like dozens of others in northern Germany, recognized that hobbyist demand had turned small-denomination notgeld into a minor revenue stream. This particular piece, tied to the local Bowling Association, belongs to that class of "Serienscheine" issued as much for sale to collectors as for actual small-change use during the coin shortage that followed the war.
The DeNG 2#1437.1-1/3 sequence suggests three related pieces in the subseries. Wismar's civic notgeld from this period was produced in short runs, and association-specific denominations like this one rarely saw sustained hand-to-hand circulation.
