正面描述 Olive-green notgeld printed in letterpress on plain paper, with a wide decorative border of stylised Art Nouveau foliate and geometric motifs — diamond lozenges, tulip-like blossoms and chevron bands — framing a plain central field. The issuer name 'Stöckheim' appears in bold gothic lettering at the top, beneath a row of decorative dots, with the denomination '50 Pfg.' in large type at centre and the validity clause 'Gültigkeit bis zum 30. März 1922' below. A manuscript signature in ink and a hand-stamped serial number occupy the lower portion of the central field.

背面描述 Printed in green and black, the reverse carries the same stylised foliate border in bright green on either side, with the denomination '50 Pfennig' in bold black type at the left and right margins. The central vignette, rendered in fine black line illustration within an octagonal frame, depicts a historical scene of a horse-drawn cart accompanied by an armed soldier on foot and a female figure on horseback, with a ruined tower visible in the background.

备注

Stöckheim (Northeim) was one of hundreds of small German municipalities that issued Notgeld during the hyperinflationary crisis of the early 1920s, when the central money supply collapsed so completely that villages and towns were forced to print their own emergency scrip simply to make change. These local issues filled a genuine transactional vacuum — coins had essentially vanished from circulation, hoarded or melted.

Municipal Notgeld from villages of this size was typically printed in small runs and often redeemed quickly, making survivors uneven in availability. Stöckheim (Northeim) is a minor locality in Lower Saxony, not to be confused with the larger Stöckheim near Brunswick.
