| 裏面の説明 | Printed in pale ochre-brown on plain paper, the reverse centres on a large circular vignette enclosing a finely engraved harbour scene with a steamship and waterfront buildings. Four corner medallions with rosette surrounds each bear the numeral '50' in white relief against a guilloche ground, and horizontal wavy-line guilloche patterns fill the remaining field, lending the note a uniform decorative texture with no additional lettering. |

A rare instance of three distinct municipal governments — Bremerhaven, Geestemünde, and Lehe — jointly issuing emergency currency, each with its own signatory magistrate. The three towns occupied adjacent positions at the Weser estuary and were administratively separate until their forced consolidation into a single city in 1924. This note predates that merger, making the triple-authority signature block a direct reflection of a political arrangement that no longer existed within a few years of issue.
M. Dumont Schauberg, better known as a Cologne newspaper and publishing house, handled a substantial volume of Notgeld printing during the early Weimar shortage period.
