Obverse description Panoramic engraved vignette of the town of Lehesten set within an oval frame, flanked by the town coat of arms (fir tree) at lower left and an anchor symbol at lower right. Denomination panels reading '50 Pfennig' appear in upper corners against a geometric patterned border, with validity dates reading 'GÜLTIG BIS 31. DEZEMBER 1921' printed vertically on both lateral margins. Serial number and Bürgermeisteramt signature appear at foot.

A Thüringerwald-Verein emblem appears in the upper left corner and a Schmücke commemorative seal at lower left. A poetic inscription in Gothic script occupies the upper panel, with an explanatory caption in Gothic lettering at the foot.
