| 备注 |
Bad Schmiedeberg, a small spa town in the Prussian province of Saxony, issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany in the early 1920s — a period when municipalities, businesses, and even individual farms printed their own Notgeld simply to keep commerce moving. The Schwarz printing house in Lindenberg was a prolific producer of such notes for dozens of provincial issuers, giving much of this material a consistent production quality that belies its emergency origins.
The designer credit to Lehmann-Wittenberg is the detail worth noting — a relatively uncommon attribution in the Schwarz-produced Notgeld corpus, where design credits were often omitted entirely.
