备注

Quedlinburg's 1922 Notgeld issue belongs to the final wave of German municipal emergency money — by this point the Reichsbank's inability to supply adequate small denomination coinage had pushed hundreds of towns into commissioning their own scrip from local printers. H. Meyerding was a Quedlinburg-based firm printing for its own municipality, which was common practice; proximity kept costs low and turnaround fast when inflation was accelerating weekly.

Quedlinburg itself carries considerable historical weight as the burial site of Henry the Fowler and a center of Ottonian religious authority, though by 1922 the city issuing this note was an industrial market town with no particular monetary distinction.
