| 备注 |
Weddersleben is a village in the Harz foothills — population in 1921 was well under a thousand — which makes this one of the more obscure Notgeld issuers of the German inflation period. The municipal series was almost certainly produced for local exchange rather than any serious monetary purpose; collectors in the 1920s actively encouraged small German communities to print Notgeld specifically to sell to them, and many issues like this one barely circulated at all before ending up in albums.
Whether Weddersleben issued under genuine small-change pressure or to generate collector revenue is the real question with pieces at this level.
