The central vignette presents a black silhouette of a ploughman with a horse-drawn plough set against a radiating yellow sunburst underprint, evoking an agrarian theme. The date "Gollnow, den 3. Gollnow — now Goleniów in northwestern Poland — was one of hundreds of small Prussian municipalities that commissioned emergency paper currency during the postwar inflation spiral. The Ratsdruckerei R. Dulce in Glauchau was a municipal printer, not a specialist banknote house, which accounts for the relatively modest production quality typical of Pomeranian Kleingeldscheine from this period.
The issuing authority, Stadt Gollnow, had no banking infrastructure of its own — these notes functioned as fractional change substitutes when coin metal was being hoarded or had simply disappeared from circulation entirely.
