Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark brown on a rose-tinted guilloche underprint. A central circular vignette at the top centre contains a classical allegorical female figure in profile, winged helmet on her head and a caduceus in hand, flanked by decorative shell-rosette ornaments in the upper corners. The denomination "FÜNFZIG PFENNIG" is set in bold letterpress across the centre, with the numeral values "0.50" appearing in the upper left and right panels. Below, a two-line text obligation clause identifies the issuing Stadtkasse Lennep, followed by the date "5. November 1918", a letter-and-number serial designation ("Buchstabe E"), the red overprinted numeral serial number, and a manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister. The validity date "Gültig bis 31. März 1919" and the footer inscription "STADT LENNEP 1918" complete the design.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in rose-mauve on a dense guilloche underprint covering the full field. At the centre, the heraldic arms of the city of Lennep are rendered as a detailed vignette: a shield bearing a fortified tower and a rampant lion, surmounted by a crested helm with elaborate scrollwork mantling and a shell crest above. The denomination numeral "0.50" appears in large print to the left and right of the central arms vignette, with an ornamental lace-pattern border framing the entire composition.
