正面描述 Notgeld issue on pinkish-brown paper with a simple letterpress design enclosed within a dashed rectangular border. The issuing authority "Marktmagistrat Ebersberg" is printed across the top, repeated in a lighter underprint below, with the denomination "50 Gutschein über fünfzig Pfennige 50" in bold blackletter type at centre, flanked by the numeral "50" on each side. A large rust-red "50" watermark-style underprint occupies the centre field, and the date "Ebersberg, 15. Dezember 1916." appears at the foot above the printer's imprint.

备注

Ebersberg is a small Bavarian market town southeast of Munich, and this note is a product of the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany from 1916 onward as metal coinage disappeared into wartime hoarding and industrial requisition. Municipal and town authorities across the Reich were authorized to fill the gap with locally issued Kleingeldscheine, and thousands of communities did exactly that — Ebersberg among them.

Himmer in Augsburg was a natural choice for Bavarian issuers of this period, handling a significant volume of regional notgeld commissions. Nothing technically unusual about this piece, but its survival rate is inherently low — these notes were redeemed and destroyed in bulk after stabilization.
