| Beschrijving voorzijde | Black text on grey guilloche underprint, the entire face enclosed within a fine ornamental lace-patterned border. The denomination "Danziger 50 pfennige" is set in bold Gothic script at the top, below which a three-line redemption clause in German script type states the note is redeemable under the same conditions as the Gulden-Kassenscheine, followed by the issue date "Danzig, den 1. November 1923." The issuer name "Danziger Zentralkasse Aktiengesellschaft" appears in a larger Gothic script at centre, above a manuscript signature; a serial number with prefix letter and suffix letters is printed at the lower margin. |

| Opmerkingen |
The Danziger Zentralkasse was established specifically to handle the monetary needs of the Free City of Danzig after its separation from Germany under the Treaty of Versailles in 1920. By 1923, German hyperinflation was devastating the reichsmark-denominated holdings of Danzig residents who still conducted business across the border, and the Zentralkasse issued notes like this one partly to insulate the Free City's internal economy from the worst of it.
Pick 37 belongs to a short-lived series that was superseded once the Danzig Gulden was properly established as the territory's sole currency later in 1923.
