| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by a decorative border with two marabou storks standing sentinel on either side against red disc vignettes, their rendered forms drawn in a bold linear style. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is inscribed in Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion, with the numeral '50' repeated in each corner within red circular cartouches. A large central text panel carries the issuing authority inscription and redemption conditions in Gothic script, while a coiled snake rendered in fine detail forms the lower border element. |
