| 正面铭文 | STADT TREMESSEN |
| 背面描述 | Large numeral '50' dominates the central field, enclosed within a rope circle. The curved legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE (small change substitute token) arcs across the upper portion between the rope circle and the outer pearl border. Below the rope circle, three five-pointed stars are arranged in a row along the lower field. The entire design is contained within a raised dot border running along the coin's rim. |

Tremessen — the German name for Trzemeszno, in what was then the Prussian province of Posen — issued this notgeld piece in 1917 as the imperial government's wartime metal requisitions stripped municipal circulation of its small change. Zinc was the compromise: too brittle for reliable striking but available when copper and nickel were being redirected to shell casings. The Funck reference distinguishes at least two die varieties for this type, suggesting the city returned to the press more than once to meet demand.
