| Obverse description | Within a beaded border, the large numeral '50' occupies the central field in bold raised relief. A circular legend surrounds the denomination, reading 'STADTSPARKASSE' along the upper arc and 'STREHLEN SCHLES.' along the lower arc, separated by raised dot stops at each side. The design is plain and utilitarian in character, typical of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the First World War period. |
