| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels on a dark brown border with green horizontal bands. The central panel carries the bearer payment text in Gothic script against a gold underprint, flanked by two heraldic shields: at left, the arms of Paderborn (red and white vertical stripes with a cross), and at right, the arms of Westphalia (a white horse rearing on a red field). The header panel reads 'Die Stadtsparkasse Paderborn' in Gothic lettering, with the denomination '50' at upper left and 'Pfg' at upper right in framed vignettes. The note is dated 'Paderborn, den 10.11.1921' and bears the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with two facsimile signatures below, and the designer credit 'H. Niedieck 1921' at lower right. |
