Obverse description Golden-yellow ground with an elaborate rococo scrollwork border in blue and black, flanked by floral corner vignettes. The Bonn municipal coat of arms — a black cross on white with a red lion passant on blue — is centred at top between the large denomination numerals '50' and 'Pf.' A cartouche below carries the redemption text and issuer's signature in script.

Krupa-Krupinski of three portly Stadtsoldaten in 18th-century uniform seated on the ground in various states of post-carnival discomfort. A title inscription in script appears above the group, and a four-line comic verse in German script fills the lower panel.
