| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a yellow guilloche underprint, with the issuing authority's name in Gothic blackletter at the top and the cheque text followed by the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in large ornate lettering at centre. Symmetrical green vignettes of grapevine foliage interlaced with grape bunches flank the central panel on both sides, each enclosing an oval cartouche bearing the city arms of Grünberg — a fortified tower above a gate rendered in blue and gold. The lower section carries a date line reading 'Grünberg i. Schl. d.', an account designation 'Konto D', a six-digit serial number, and the denomination '50 Pf.' repeated in yellow corner blocks, with the printer's imprint 'FLEMMING-WISKOTT A.-G. GLOGAU.' at the foot. |
