| Reverse description | The reverse displays an outer pearl border surrounding an annular legend reading 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token), which encircles an inner rope-twist border. Within the central field, the large numeral '50' occupies the field prominently. Three five-pointed stars are arranged in the lower segment between the rope circle and the pearl rim, serving as decorative separators. |

| Additional information |
Chr. Strunck & Sohn was a leather goods manufacturer in Sprendlingen — a town in the Rhineland-Palatinate region with a long tradition of shoe and leather production. This token is notgeld, issued during the acute small-change shortages that struck Germany in 1917–1918 as copper and nickel were diverted to the war effort, leaving official coinage effectively absent from everyday commerce. Iron was the fallback material for emergency municipal and private issues alike, which explains both the composition and the likely rapid corrosion that makes uncirculated survivors difficult to find.
