| Beschrijving voorzijde | Ochre and purple Notgeld note with a gold-toned underprint. The large denomination numeral "50" in purple dominates the upper centre, flanked by stylised wheat ears; the issuer name "Sparkasse Twistringen" is rendered in decorative Gothic blackletter script across the middle register. Validity text appears in the upper left corner, a reference to the Syker Zeitung newspaper in the upper right, and the date "Twistringen, den 28. Sept. 1921" together with a manuscript authorisation and serial number along the lower margin. |

| Opmerkingen |
Twistringen is a small market town in Lower Saxony, and its savings institution — the Sparkasse — was among hundreds of German municipal and cooperative bodies forced into emergency money printing during the hyperinflationary spiral of the early 1920s. These Notgeld issues were technically unauthorized as legal tender but were tolerated by the Reichsbank as a practical solution to the chronic small-denomination coin shortage that had plagued Germany since the war years.
The DeNG reference suffix distinguishes between two known varieties for this denomination, differentiated by minor typographic or printing details — collectors should verify which variant is present before cataloging.
