正面描述 Central vignette of a full-length figure dressed in 18th-century costume — red coat, blue waistcoat, and white powdered wig — standing with hands on hips before a decorative foliate scroll ground, flanked on both sides by vertical columns of four red hearts each within ruled borders; the denomination '50 Pf.' appears in bold blackletter in corner cartouches. At center below the figure is the Altenburg civic arms within a heart-shaped shield: a white glove and a red rose on a striped field, accompanied by a facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister. The upper inscription reads 'Skat-geld der Skat-Stadt Altenburg 1921' with the validity clause 'Gültig bis 1 Monat nach Aufruf.' in letterpress.

备注

Altenburg's 1921 notgeld series takes its name from Skat, the trick-taking card game codified here in the early nineteenth century — the city's claim to genuine cultural distinction, not municipal boosterism. The printer, Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik, was a playing card manufacturer by trade, which made the commission locally logical and gives the production an unusual material pedigree: a card-game city hiring its card-printing factory to produce emergency currency.

Designer Pix produced multiple pieces in the series, each tied to a different Altenburg landmark. Collectors typically pursue the full set rather than individual notes.
