| Obverse description | A beaded inner border frames the central device, which depicts a stepped glass furnace (Glasofen) rendered in relief, its tapering pyramidal form rising to an open flame at the apex. The surrounding legend, separated by two six-pointed star stops at the lower left and right, reads H. HEYE GLASFABRIK above and SCHAUENSTEIN below, identifying the issuing industrial concern and its location. The design is boldly struck with a plain field and a finely pearled outer rim. |

| Reverse description | A beaded inner border encloses the reverse field, at the centre of which the large denomination numeral 50 is prominently displayed. The legend NOTMÜNZE arcs across the upper portion of the field, flanked at either side by six-pointed star stops, identifying this piece as an emergency coinage issue. The date 1918 is inscribed along the lower arc, completing the circular arrangement. The overall design is stark and functional, consistent with wartime notgeld production. |
