| Descrição do anverso | The obverse is printed in red, black, and grey on a cream paper ground with an ornate scrollwork border framing the entire field. At the top centre, a coloured heraldic shield — quartered in yellow, white, and red — is suspended above two circular vignettes joined by decorative Art Nouveau ironwork; the left medallion bears a portrait of a German Shepherd dog inscribed 'Heras von der Jüch / Sieger 1921' and the right medallion bears a second canine portrait inscribed 'Nanthild von Niederenburg / Siegerin 1921'. Below, the denomination '50 Pfennig' appears in white numerals on a red disc set within a black ornamental surround, beneath which the issuer legend 'Notgeldschein' is rendered in large red Gothic script, followed by the text 'der O.G. Wismar des S.V. München' and the validity inscription 'Gültig bis 31. Dezember 1921.' in black letterpress; the serial number is printed in a ruled box at the foot. |

The Sanitätshundeverein München was a civil rescue-dog association, and this Wismar branch note is a rare example of a German private welfare organization issuing its own notgeld — not a municipality, not a savings bank, but a voluntary association raising funds during the acute small-change famine of the early 1920s. Whether the proceeds supported dog training, equipment, or general operations is not documented in surviving records, but the issuer's specificity is itself unusual.
Printed locally by Kunstdruckerei A. Sander, Wismar — a regional commercial press with no particular numismatic distinction. The note's value as a collector piece rests almost entirely on the obscurity of its issuing body.
