| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely engraved vignette of a bell foundry yard, with a tall multi-tiered bell rack at left and a timber-framed casting and testing rig at right, evoking Apolda's renowned bell-founding industry. A teal-coloured horizontal band frames the upper and lower edges of the central vignette, while the series letter 'E' in red appears at upper left. Denomination numerals '50' in red are repeated in each corner of the ornamental border, and a two-line rhyming couplet in Fraktur script is inscribed below the vignette. |
