The municipal coat of arms of Apolda is centred in the upper field above the large red denomination numeral '50' and the inscription 'PFENNIG' in black, flanked in two columns by the legal tender clause at left and the redemption condition at right. The date 'Apolda, den 1. August 1921.' appears at foot, accompanied by two facsimile signatures — Heyne as Bürgermeister-Stellv. at lower left and Walther Fischer as Vorsitzender at lower right — with the printer's imprint 'ADOLF FORKER, LEIPZIG' at the base. |
