Obverse description The octagonal flan features an inner pearl border encircling the municipal coat of arms of Regensburg at center, depicting two crossed keys on a quartered shield surmounted by a mural crown with five towers. Flanking the shield are decorative foliate supporters. The city name REGENSBURG arcs along the upper portion of the legend, while BAYERN curves along the lower portion, each separated by a six-pointed star. The design is rendered in bold relief against a flat field.

Reverse description The octagonal reverse features an inner pearl border encircling a plain field. The large denomination numeral '50' is prominently struck in bold relief at center. Surrounding it, the circular legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE (small change substitute token) runs along the upper and lateral portions of the inner border, with a small star device at the base. The overall design is austere and functional, consistent with wartime notgeld emergency coinage.
