备注	Rabatt-Spar-Verein translates roughly as "discount savings association" — a consumer cooperative model that spread widely across provincial Germany in the late nineteenth century and survived well into the Weimar inflation years by issuing its own scrip. The Vaethen-Tangerhütte branch served a community straddling two small settlements in the Stendal district of Saxony-Anhalt, and this 50 Pfennig note belongs to the wave of privately-issued Notgeld that flooded Germany in 1921 as small-denomination coinage effectively vanished from circulation. Zimmer & Munte of Magdeburg were a regional commercial printer, not a specialist securities house — which shows in the utilitarian production values typical of cooperative-issued scrip rather than municipal Notgeld.
