| 正面描述 | Outer pearl border encircles the entire face, within which a circular legend reads the issuing firm name and place of issue. An inner pearl circle frames the central field, wherein the large numeral '50' denotes the denomination. Two five-pointed stars serve as separators within the legend. The design is entirely typographic with no figurative elements, consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early Weimar period. |

Collet & Engelhard was a long-established precious metals and refining firm in Offenbach am Main, a city whose industrial base made it a natural candidate for emergency currency issuance during the post-WWI notgeld crisis. Like many private manufacturers, the firm issued zinc pieces when the German state could no longer reliably supply small change — zinc being the fallback material of shortages, previously pressed into service during the war years when copper and nickel had military priority.
