| Description du revers | The reverse is printed in black, orange-red and olive-green on uncoloured paper within a decorative border of repeating oval elements. At centre, a tall gothic arch frames a standing full-length figure of a medieval knight in armour holding a lance and heraldic shield. To the left of the arch, the words 'Große Not' in large red gothic script appear above 'in Ober-Schlesien' in black; to the right, 'Viel Geld' in red appears above 'muß gesammelt werden' in black. A hatched guilloche underprint in olive-green fills the side panels. Rhyming appeal texts in gothic script run in two-line panels along the upper and lower margins, and the printer's imprint 'FABER, MAGDEBURG.' appears in the lower left corner. |
