| Obverse description | The octagonal iron notgeld token bears the municipal arms of Nordenham at center: a quartered heraldic shield displaying a demi-eagle on the dexter side and horizontal barry stripes on the sinister, rendered in low relief. The circular legend STADT NORDENHAM, separated by two five-pointed stars, arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1918 appears in the lower field. The entire design is framed by a continuous border of raised beads running along the inner edge of all eight sides. |
