Obverse description A raised solid line rim encircles the central field, which features the municipal coat of arms of Neidenburg depicting a standing armored knight facing front, flanked on either side by decorative floral branches forming a wreath-like surround. The legend STADT NEIDENBURG arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin capital letters, separated from the inner device by a concentric line border. Three six-pointed stars appear along the lower rim, serving as decorative stops. The overall design is executed in a flat, utilitarian relief characteristic of German World War I notgeld coinage.
