背面描述 Warm sepia-toned vignette enclosed within a geometric meander border. Three arched openings formed by naturalistic tree trunks frame panoramic landscape views, each labelled above: 'Sachsenburg' at left, 'Kyffhäuser' at centre with the Kyffhäuser monument visible on its hill, and 'Schloss' at right showing a castle tower above the town. A draped allegorical female figure leans against a column at lower left, gazing across the landscape. A verse in Gothic script runs along the lower margin.

备注

Allstedt occupies a specific place in early medieval German history — Heinrich I held court there, and Otto I was born in the city, making it one of the few municipalities with a legitimate biographical claim to both Ottonian rulers. The 1921 Notgeld series exploited that connection deliberately, the "Millennial Series" title referencing the roughly 1,000-year anniversary of the Ottonian dynasty's rise.

A. Eisebach of Bürgel produced a substantial volume of Thuringian Notgeld during the 1921–1922 inflation period. The 50 Pfennig denomination sits in the middle of what was typically a three-value set for municipal issues of this type.
