Obverse description Central field features the municipal coat of arms of Marktleuthen, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a decorative crest, with a rampant lion passant occupying the principal quarter. The date 1917 is divided across the lower flanks of the shield, numerals appearing to the left and right. A circular legend in raised Latin letters reads MARKTGEMEINDE at the top and MARKTLEUTHEN at the bottom, separated by the shield device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's inner rim.
