| Descrizione del dritto | The central vignette presents the armoured patron saint of Eisenach standing full-length within the city's heraldic shield, holding a banner and a palm frond, with a halo above his head. Flanking the shield on the left is a woodcut-style panoramic view of the Wartburg castle set against a wooded hillside, and on the right a view of the Eisenach townscape with its Gothic church towers; the date numerals '15' and '21' appear in red at either side of the composition. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is lettered in red Gothic script in cartouches at lower left and right, with three manuscript facsimile signatures and their respective official titles printed below the commemorative text in the lower panel. |
