| Obverse description | The central vignette bears the municipal coat of arms of Eisenach, rendered in full colour and showing a haloed saint holding a banner and shield charged with a cross, flanked on the left by a woodcut-style view of the Wartburg castle and on the right by a vignette of the Eisenach town centre with its Romanesque church. The year '1521' is displayed in large numerals behind the coat of arms. Below the main vignette, the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' appears in bold Gothic lettering in both lower corners, with the commemorative text and three facsimile signatures of the municipal authorities centred beneath. |
