At the foot of the central image, a horizontal band in the black, white, and red colours of the German merchant ensign is rendered in letterpress. Denomination roundels reading 50 Pf. appear at lower left and lower right, and the entire composition is enclosed within the same decorative blue-grey border as the obverse. |
