| Reverse description | An outer beaded border follows the octagonal periphery, enclosing a circular beaded inner ring within which the coat of arms of Kehl am Rhein is centrally displayed. The arms depict a shield bearing an anchor flanked by two floral sprigs, surmounted by a stylized scroll or horn device at the top of the shield. The legend 'KLEINGELD ERSATZ' (small change substitute) arcs across the upper field between the outer and inner beaded borders. Three small rosette ornaments are placed in the lower outer field as decorative elements, and the overall design is rendered in a plain, utilitarian style consistent with emergency coinage of the period. |
