| Obverse description | The plain field features the large numeral '50' in the upper portion, centered above the central circular perforation. A continuous circular legend in raised Latin lettering reads 'KLEINGELD-ERSATZMARKE' along the upper periphery and '• ITZEHOER • KREDITBANK •' along the lower periphery, encircling the entire design. The inscription identifies this token as a small-change substitute note ('Kleingeld-Ersatzmarke') issued by the Itzehoer Kreditbank, a local credit institution in Itzehoe, Germany, during the wartime currency shortage of 1917. |
