Reverse description A full-field multicolour vignette portrays two tradesmen in early 16th-century costume — identified by the caption as a cloth-worker (Tuchknappe) and a tanner (Gerber) of circa 1500 — standing before the imposing Gothic town hall of Neustadt an der Orla, rendered in a bold woodcut-style letterpress technique. Grape vine foliage appears at the upper left, and church spires rise above the roofline in the background. The lower border panel carries the inscription "Notgeld der Stadt Neustadt/Orla" flanked by the denomination numeral "50" in red at each corner, with the printer's imprint below.
Reverse lettering Tuchknappe und Gerber Anno 1500.
