| Obverse description | Octagonal iron notgeld token with a continuous pearl border following the outline of all eight sides. The circular legend GEMEINDE HINDENBURG O/S. runs around the inner field, with the split date 19 - 18 flanking a central rectangular punch-through hole, the numerals positioned to the left and right respectively. A small six-petalled rosette ornament appears at the base of the legend below the hole. The flat, unadorned field serves purely as a functional ground for the inscribed text. |
