Obverse description The obverse displays the civic arms of Havelberg at centre: a fortified town gate with two flanking towers surmounted by a displayed eagle, all rendered in low relief. The central device is enclosed within a dotted inner circle. The circumferential legend MAGISTRAT ZU HAVELBERG runs along the outer rim between two beaded borders, with three small rosette ornaments positioned at the base below the inner circle. The overall design reflects the typical Notgeld municipal heraldic style of the First World War era.
