Beschrijving voorzijde Printed in orange, green, and black on a salmon-toned ground within a teal outer border, the obverse presents two large circular vignettes at centre: the left enclosing a view of the Dreizerrenstein boundary stone amid a conifer forest with the caption "Der Dreizerrenstein", and the right illustrating the timber-framed Alte Schmiede am Auerhahn farmstead with a horse-drawn cart. Between the vignettes at upper centre sits a circular inn-sign medallion inscribed "Wirtshausschild am Weißen Roß" with an equestrian heraldic device dated 1711, while the commune seal of Gemeinde Stützerbach W.A. bearing a spruce tree is placed at lower centre. The denomination "Wert 50 Pfennige" and issuer name appear in Gothic blackletter at the head flanked by rose-spray corner ornaments, with the validity clause and date "Stützerbach 1921" carried on scroll banners at the foot.

Beschrijving keerzijde Printed in orange, teal, and black, the reverse carries a bold "50 PFg." denomination roundel at each corner framing a large arched central vignette executed in silhouette style on a teal ground, illustrating the episode of Goethe and Duke Karl August inserting a dead cat into a butter barrel, with period-costumed figures and a small dog rendered in solid black silhouette. Two oval portrait medallions in silhouette flank the scene, the left identified as Goethe and the right as a crowned female profile. A caption cartouche below the scene reads "Goethe und Karl August stecken eine tote Katze ins Butterfaß", followed by a two-line verse, with the title "Brausejahre in Stützerbach" carried on a decorative ribbon at the head of the composition.
