| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large stone arch framing a central vignette of the Fuchsturm tower atop a wooded hill, rendered in a detailed letterpress style. The denomination numeral '50' appears in circular cartouches at upper left and upper right, flanked by two heraldic shields — the Jena city arms to the left and a striped civic shield to the right — with a third coat of arms set as a keystone above the arch. Two stone tablet panels carry Gothic-script inscriptions on either side of the arch, and a bold banner inscription in ornate script runs along the lower margin, with the printer's imprint 'Druck von Johannes Arndt, Jena.' below the border. |
